ATI Module 1: Knowledge and Clinical Judgement

Many of the questions on the ATI knowledge and clinical judgement test were a review from classes. This module had a focus on nursing knowledge, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgement.  The one thing I’d say that stuck out to me was a question regarding a living will. I’ve heard of what a living will was but didn’t know exactly what it meant. I thought a living will was financially related where if someone dies, then their money is passed to whoever they had in their will. Although, the definition I had in mind was meant for a last will. After taking the ATI exam, I learned a living will is how you want your end of life care treatment to be, in case you’re not able to express informed consent.
