This module described testing and remediation. Throughout my years of schooling, testing has caused lots of anxiety. Understanding that stress decreases intelligence level, I’ve learned the importance of controlling it. Fear comes from a lack of time management and organization, which can lead to being unprepared. When it comes to testing day, some techniques to reduce anxiety it mentioned were to focus on one task at a time, taking deep breaths, stretching, and keeping it positive. Many things we’ve learned in nursing school thus far connect with why these techniques work and should be used.
Hi,
I have also suffered from some test anxiety in the past and I have always looked for methods to cope with that anxiety and succeed on my tests. Your line about where fear comes from is interesting to me and seems accurate.
Well done,
Caulene
Munib, a little nervousness helps you sharpen your mind but too much is devastating to our cognitive abilities. I like to tell folks that a “few butterflies” can be useful, but an “infestation of moths” may not be helpful at all!
