ATI Assessments

After taking the fundamentals and mental health ATI assessments I feel confident, but not content. I did very well on both assessments. In the fundamentals ATI exam, I missed 20 out of the 75 questions. In the mental health ATI exam, I missed 16 out of the 75 questions. Many of the questions I missed were considered a “hard” difficulty level. I think what went well was taking my time on the questions. I read each question and interpreted it in my own words before looking for an answer. I canceled out options I knew weren’t possible and selected the choice that I saw as the best fit. I’d say what didn’t go well were some of the select all that apply questions. I did not adjust my test-taking strategies after taking the first assessment (fundamentals). I continued my strategy of canceling out options, and reading questions at least a couple of times to ensure I wasn’t getting tripped up with the wording. I did well the first time with my test-taking strategy, so I didn’t feel I had to adjust. Overall, the ATI exam was a great refresher to knowledge attained from Adult Health I and Mental Health.

  1. Munib, would like to have seen separate reflections following each of the two assessments to identify how you might have adjusted your testing strategy following the first assessment.
