After completing the ATI critical thinking exit exam, I did slightly better than when I took the critical thinking entrance exam. When I took the entrance exam I got a 75. When I took the exit exam, I got a 77.5. Both times, my inferential skills were what I lacked most. Although, my scores improved. Inferential skills come with time and experience. Inferential skills help by decoding clues from the text that’s not implicitly stated to draw a conclusion. Such skills would help me transition into a professional nurse by reading charts and infer information when reading evidence-based research.
