After taking the ATI maternal newborn CAT assessment, I believe completing it in 75 questions meant I did well. I got 22 questions incorrect, and the majority of them were either “hard” or “moderate” level questions. I feel the remediations helped me look back to find the keywords, so I’m prepared for future assessments. The best I can do to carry my experience forward is to continue what I am doing, like reading each question twice, finding keywords, crossing out what options aren’t possible, and making educated guesses if needed.
Munib, rather than making educated guesses, try using the priority-setting frameworks you learned in the NurseLogic 2.0 modules, breaking down the questions and identifying the best strategy. This will be most supportive if you encounter NCLEX questions on unfamiliar content.
